Massive event, 100 entries, all 2wd and all cool old school stuff for the most part! Even a McRae involved, along with of course Will Orders and Hayden Taylor who many of us know well.

This is an epic event, run every two years and generally is fully subcribed!

I ran as one of the zero cars last time it ran although I couldn't enter 2WD too new and turboed.

Good roads that do get a bit cut up and sandy if your back past about car 20 or so.

There is a similar event thats run on the off years around Eden NSW

Cool clip, such awesome cars. Will Orders and Hayden Taylor appear at 50 seconds in with their white Toyota Corolla.

Event was won overall by the Porsche 911, which included beating Alister McRae in a proper Escort. Pretty much a dream event if you are into older 2WD rally cars. I am going to try and go in two years for the next one.

John, I'm on the organising committee of the Alpine Rally. Let me know if you decide to come over for it and we'll make sure we look after you.

Thanks Owen! Planning to come down at minimum and watch/hang out (never been to Aus before so gonna make a vacation of it). Will be evaluating this year and early next if it is feasible budget wise to send the car down.
