More needs to be said about Jake Himes

No I didnt know him personally but he had an amazing energy for the sport and inspired and consoled alot of people including me. When I was all depressed about my future in rally he sent me an email that made the world make sense. I wanted to write him back. I wanted to go sit in the woods somewhere with him and drink beers. I won't get to do any of those things now. My memory will be frozen in time of him lining up at Tall Pines in that SCARY sounding RX7.We all backed away like he was driving a top fuel dragster.I was talking to JVL when I went on SS and saw the obituary for the first time and I was SPEACHLESS. So all you guys, go and look back on his posts. This was a man with CHARACTER.

I am glad I got to meet Jake.

while he was aware that some competitors couldn't make the Oregon Triple crown,
he still came out, cheered and had a great time at Olympus.

It was nice to be under the experienced eye of a RWD nut like him, and receive complements on a quality drive.

perhaps next year we can start a rwd jake himes trophy class.

will be missed
