Ordering from Demon Tweeks or RallyNuts?
May 06, 2014 12:59PM
Anybody have experience with ordering rally items from either Demon Tweeks or RallyNuts?

I'm looking at buying two helmets from either of them, as the helmet isn't sold in N.A.

Curious, since both sites list them as "UK mainland delivery usually within 8 days." So it makes me believe that they do not have them in stock, but they get drop shipped.

I've used rallynuts to order a lot of parts for my car and safety gear, they're good and fast (I think they used dhl), anyhow aside from the vat that's gotta be added on their prices are good. The terra phone I ordered had a little time on it but it got here within 2 weeks easy.

Grant, I replied.

At least from the Facebook comments & PM's I got, it seems like RallyNuts is faster and more reliable with shipping.

I've had nothing but good experience with RallyNuts. Ordered a bunch of stuff last fall and received it via DHL in just a couple days. The last order I had was for seats and received those in about 10 days. I don't think they were in stock.

I did all the math with shipping and everything else. Saved about $500 on a pair of seats over anything I could find in the states.

Thanks,

I ordered a peak visor for my Bell helmet from Rallynuts late last week. (Don't get me started about how dumb it is that I couldn't find one in the US. Also, don't tell me if you know of a place to get one in the US winking smiley It shipped from the UK Monday. It arrived today.

No complaints at all about the experience.

I am a dealer for Demon Tweeks. I am ordering a helmet for John. Throwing it in with an order of seats and rally computers for our new showroom saving him shipping and/or customs fees. Then a "you are the rallymaster of 100AW and I know how much work that involves" discount. Hopefully combined with the "I don't have to send this back to the UK for a refund if it doesn't work out" comfort John will feels. I'm hoping to have the helmet to him mid-end of next week.
This also qualifies him for the customer contingency I'm offering for Idaho (from Colorado or >800 miles one way tow). Likely to be a $100 bill at registration at the event for first five registered customers.

Just to give everybody an update, I went with the Sparco WTX J-3 helmet. Bought it through Grant. (Thanks!) Came very quick too.

It weighs 2lbs 14oz as is and 3lbs 2oz with an in-ear intercom & microphone I bought.

Fit is near perfect. My head is 56-1/8 cm and the helmet says 55-56cm.

So far my only initial gripe is that the peak visor seems cheap compared to the rest of the construction. I'll have to be careful not to manhandle it. Otherwise the construction & materials for the rest of the helmet seem great. Comes with preinstalled hans posts and a nice helmet bag.
