Justify it as you will, it still stinks, especially 3 weeks before an event. You can't spin that, no matter how hard you try.

Why do I think that if the event had dropped RA and moved to NRS 3 weeks before the event there wouldn't be the same complaints...

Might be different people complaining but people would complain. 3 weeks seems like an awfully short time frame to change your sanctioning body.
