not rally related but seems like there are a number of Miata pervs on this forum. any thoughts on the value of a '99 with a spun rod bearing. There is one available locally that I am thinking of picking up.

i guess it all comes down to what you can get the car for and what you can get an engine for. and i say as long as thats less then what you can go buy a running one for, go for it.

Miata engines seem to be expensive but a Protege 1.8 is the same bottom end. Do it to it!

Alls I know about Miata value is that a hardtop is worth $1000. You never really own a hardtop, you're borrowing it from the next guy.
