CORE! you colorado rally guys!
October 22, 2007 11:09AM
sunday started with me arriving hung-over (ok, drunk) to work at 7.46 (1 min late) but then learning my shift had been changed so i was in fact NOT working. Thus my day was freed up and i was awake early with nothing to do....unti i remembered some friends were going out east of denver to a rally practice circuit called CORE!

John, hope this makes you proud! smiling smiley
the volvo's mine, the 240sx and the WRX swapped impreza are my friends...

some local rally talent, its a relatively stock motor, ej22, but the thing moves!

Relatively stock? Not quite.
4" downpipe, 3" exhaust, 3" high flow racing cat, EJ22T engine, Haltech E6 stand-alone, huge front mount intercooler, big radiator, custom uppipe, WRX turbo, WRX 4 pot brake, hydraulic handbrake, Kaaz front diff, 2.5 RS rear, torsen center, 2.5RS gearbox, etc. The only thing really missing is the suspension.

The blue one is an STI conversion with DMS suspension and lots of other cool parts, built by Suba Performance and owned by Checkpoint Racing owner Mitch Williams. I was supposed to be out there in the Merkur, but had driveshaft failure on Saturday on the way home. Damn, but oh well.

I'm pretty much the only Colorado guy on here. Most spend their time at specialstage in the Colorado forum.

Here's Andrew Morton's pics from yesterday.

Search for Deer Trail. it's about 50-60 miles east of downtown Denver on I70. He just posted a thing on specialstage though about needing to sell annual memberships to pay land owner and show financial feasability in order to keep open.
$250 annual pass.
