Why do you want to replace ball joints with those?

Also, I've found over the years that you need to have a boot around a heim joint if it is going to be subjected to the elements (water, dirt), otherwise the joint will wear out quickly.

Allstar performance calls them a bump steer kit. #56284. less then $20.00 each

Not sure why they would be called a death trap. These things are super strong. way stromger then a stock subie tie rod.
Race cars need maintance so yes hiems will show wear after some use. I use teflon hiems they seem to hold up the best. They make both 10 and 7 degree taper. Find out what taper yours is and you shouldnt have to ream the spindle.

The Teflon ones just seem to rattle more after you pound the lining out, which doesn't take long.

I like the idea because it should make servicing easier... no fucking with tapers or pinch bolts or lining up a notch in a stud, just zip and off, on and zip, super quick especially if you don't use a Nyloc. But the downside of such easy service, is you have to service more frequently...

The first pic posted was not those beefy ones, but the threaded rod style without the big cone to seat against the steering arm. Just threaded rod and some bolts pretty much. Those pictured now look beefy.

Ohh ok. The allstar ones i use are for a 5/8" heim. I cut the end off a subie tie rod drilled and tapped it to 5/8". I have these in the front and rear susp of the rallycar. They took a big roll over off at stpr and all 4 are still intacked.

well i guess i can't find the right ones i need.

LAME!!!

the thread isnt long enough to get the nut on for the misalignment, and the balljoint pitch is too big to fit at all.
