Looking for: co-driver
August 12, 2014 09:02AM
Jeff has recently switched jobs and there is the possibility he won't be available for the three events I compete at this year.

I am looking to do PFR, Rocky, and BigWhite. Car is my open class STI. Goal is to go FAST (secondary goal may be to finish, right? winking smiley )

PM me, email me aevokes At shaw.ca or phone 780-920-1819. I'll be doing the test day on August 24, it would be a good time to get acquainted in car and see if things work.

We can discuss details of the arrangement privately smiling smiley

I was smoking on most of everything at Thunderbird...but there were mostly weak, horrible Canajian ciggies.

I'd have thought bringing enough cigarettes to last the weekend would be much like having two fuel pumps in a rally car.

Adam, I will contribute sponsorship money (real American dollars!) if you can produce in-car of JVL codriving for you. Shall we crowd fund?

I'd have thought bringing enough cigarettes to last the weekend would be much like having two fuel pumps in a rally car.

It was a heart-breakingly dry event that time...Whole event had maybe a total of max 50 km with snow on the road...and that little bit was gross deep rutten mushy shit..
I know poor Paul W must have just heartbroken..

But being 99.8% bare---there wasn't a lot to do, so I seriously misestimated the amount of drugs needed to maintain minimal wakefulness..

And it was heart breaking that it was so bare when so many people from all over had so generously sent money---really unbeliveably nice. I just wish it had been like the last time I had done T-Bird when it was snowing from departure to finish and 1005 of the km was nice yummie newish perfect snow....After people had been so nice I felt I had to go and have real sustained intense fun....(sigh)

While I'm sure many Johns have co-driven for many Adams on the global scale, I'm fairly certain our very own JVL hasn't co-driven for our very own Adam Vokes... That is something worth crowdfunding for. (Make it Big White so he also gets to compete in an event that I organise)

I have to deal with enough BS with you running events that I compete at, no need to add more to the pile winking smiley

If people would get money together for John to do the test day so we could practice beforehand, I'd be game. I'd even accept driving tips of wisdom from him, because I do not brake nearly late enough. smileys with beer
