Or like this latest moronic shit, we'd condemn an entire country based on what a few US corporations in the quest for higher profits didn't bother to check and sent right out to the shelves of America's stores, ratheer than doing quality control and intercepting dangerous goods.

But thank gawd we're all not as stupid as you, because as I hammered home in the previous reponse to your raving, OUR record is none too clean on anything.

It wasn't Chinese manufacturers who made the paint in al;l the older houses that you obviously gnawed on as a kid whichbeing full of lead caused your unfortunate brain damage, it was American companies.
It wasn't Chinese corporations that filled US gasoline with tetra-ethyl lead for decades cause early cancer deaths for generations of workers, It was AMERICAN corporations.

Obviously I could go on and on and show how your idiotic picking of Chinese Governmental and greedy corporate failings is stupid to condemn an entire country's PEOPLE for.

I've said it before get the fuck out of my thread and start your own Jen's Raving and Ranting thread OR YOU WILL BE BANNED ASSHOLE.

John, lighten up. Jens is an asshole, you're an asshole, I'm an asshole.

This forum is Rally Anarchy.

And all this China talk seems to have earned us mail-order bride banner ads!

Yeah well I pretty fucking tired of a certain particular type of zenophobic asshole who bitches out other places for doing what WE do.
Our reputation WORLDWIDE as unmitigated hypocrites and therefore untrustworthy partners in business and personal dealings is based on Jen's and his ilks mindless shit.

I started this thread to wish a bunch of hard working PEOPLE good luck and not to have USELESS assholes act as idiots.
WE DO HAVE RULES HERE, Andrew and if its lies to be belived then it's breaking the rules, and if it's not even funny while lying, it's breaking the rules.

Larsen contributes NOTHING insightful, humorous, truthful.

I know you know him a long time but he can as I said GO START HIS OWN THREAD.
FUCK HIM otherwise.

John, it's all perspective. To the vast majority of people, China isn't seen as 1.3 billion people all belonging to families, China is seen as a Commie supplier of cheap tainted garbage to Wal Mart.

Just as much of the world sees the USA as a bunch of redneck cowboys who meddle in others affairs when it suits their wallets.

Both you and Jens were pretty much right on with the direction rally in the USA has taken over the past decade. Maybe not dead on, but comparatively speaking you were both better than most meteorologists at figuring out tomorrows weather.

I've met Jens two or three times, and haven't seen him in about a decade.

Maybe you posted the PRC banner truly as a way to celebrate the PRC's anniversary with your family, but I saw the troll/flame bait -- intended or not -- from a mile away.

It's all perspective.

You know what, the sun's out, hammering on the keyboard is a waste of time.

Roger that. Go outside. Y'all spend too much time in front of the computer, it's bad for your eyes.

Most of it became clear with the 1998 Spitzner proposal.
A couple of years later the "Vision Statement" made the rest clear.

I missed the boat big time with the Rallymoto idea. That is cool.
That is the coolest thing I've seen in rally in 30 years!
It would be nice to claim the credit for that idea.

I still think the electric and alternative fuel stuff is the cat's meow,
but it appears not enough others do.

Not really. Electric and hybrid rally cars would be fairly unsafe. I am most adamant against the mere thought of an electric rally car. Would you rather burn coal to provide electricity or use gasoline? Now, I will say that the 3-5 MPG that a top Open class car uses is highly unneccessary, but I really don't foresee anyone eliminating that class and going to all NA cars that can get 6-8 times the MPGs.

There's at least 5-6 rally cars in Colorado running successfully on E-85 now though. My car likely will be by spring.

Focus on the obvious
October 04, 2009 06:25PM
Let’s not loose sight of the obvious here:

JVL said something nice about PEOPLE. Anybody with half a brain can see it was the hard work of the PEOPLE, living today, that has given China its measure of hope for the future. Their government isn’t the issue. As has been said, their government is only 60 years old but their Nation is thousands. And just recently doing quite well in the modern world.

JENS publicly mocked him and denigrated those very same people. Jens was wrong (asshole). JVL was legitimately entitled to defend himself. And he did. Truth is never a matter of perspective. And meanness always shows its colors.

One word "nuclear" or, if you prefer :-), "nooular"

I know, I know 3 mile island and other nonsense. I lived in Ohio when the
3 mile island incident happened and grabbed the headlines.

Nuclear power generation is one good (in my opinion) option in addition to
solar, wind, etc power generation that will be developed over the next decades.

Screw gasoline. It is time to start thinking forward.

Regenerative systems using high speed flywheels (like 180k rpm) to store energy are more efficient, smaller, lighter, safer, and more eco friendly than battery based systems. Thats what F1/Le Mans/WRC (? citroen had their concept car with it, not sure if they use it yet) has started using with good results so far.
