---- I wonder how many Lowered VWs have found their way to the dealer's doorstep with inoperative wipers cuz young and dumb thought that he was taking out unneeded weight in that pesky wiring going to the hood switch that is now missing complete with the bracket it would hang on!

I've sure got to deal with enough PITA VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) problems cuz those Germans were so busy being clever that they designed disaster into every one of their products!!

Heard today they're expanding the 2000-2003 Tundra recall for frames that rot out and send spare tires crashing onto the pavement. That would explain truckloads of small truck frames I see on the road from time to time!

I have not seen a rusted Tundra here on the Left Coast.

Three seasons is plenty; thanks!

Chris Lanctot may post up here, but his Tacoma's frame was replaced under recall/warranty, and it didn't look like it "rusted" so much as it wasn't really welded together.

I do find it odd that if there are rust problems, I'm not seeing a significant number of rusted Toyotas.

Reading some stuff on an engineering forum. Apparently a Major Automotive Magazine tested a new V6 Camry braking distance with the throttle pinned to the floor.

60-0 took only 16 feet longer than with no throttle. More interestingly, it was a foot SHORTER than a new Taurus at no throttle.
