Woohoo my LOTR extended edition box set finally arrived!! 12 DVDs... eye popping smiley

FotR +30min
TTT +43min
RoTK +50min

I haven't seen any of the extended editions so maybe next week when rally car construction settles down a bit I can start watching them.

Hands up if you read the Silmarillion in high school...

You mean the version of the last movie shown in theatres wasn't the extended one? Every time I thought it was over.........it just kept showing another damn 20min wrap-up scene!

Forgot to mention my gf Ali is a bit LOTR geek too, we listened to the complete audio book LOTR series read by Rob Inglis while we were driving around New Zealand in the campervan. Maaaaaaagical

I bought the extended edition of the first two movies. The last movie really annoyed me though for some reason. We talked about capturing it and re-editing it kind of how alot of people did to the first Star Wars to remove Jar Jar Douche-ass' scenes. But, that would require some effort and would have little reward.
