The best part is the parody is not far off from how zizek really talks. Disjointed and all over the place. And even better is he really told that joke during a lecture.

To me a lot of his ideas come from titoism, even though he denounced it in the later 80's. Tito said: No seperate languages, we all speak yugoslavian, and ethnic barriers don't exist to a unified Yugoslavia. And there's Zizek pounding his fist for anti-nationalist socialist ideals.
