I could have stuck this in the Construction Zone!

I guess there may be a few on here that like engineering stuff so thought this may be of interest to some.

There are quite a lot of vids already and there will be more as the build goes on, so you could subscribe to the channel and get updates as they are posted.
I pass by the works occasionally and it's great to see the project progress. This vid captures some of the amazing engineering involved.

Damn man ya din't say this new bridge is right up the way from one of the most iconic bridges in the whole world in the last century!

I wonder if one in 100,000 Merikuns know the name of that bridge--you know the one I'm alludin' to.

But I wonder how many.. A marvel one century and POOF! unknown relic to a new generation..

Alert viewers of the vid may have noticed the other bridges in the background. winking smiley
A picture is worth a thousand words or so they say.

Anyways, it's good to see us Scots building stuff. I guess someone has to as other nations seem to be too busy blowing shit up...

I wonder what it must have been like to take part building something like the old Firth of Forth bridge way back then---something that still standing and still working over 120 years later..

I wonder if they had a APP for that?

A wee vid on the rail bridge.

And a 49 minutes one of the original road bridge build. There's some amazing engineering involved, and no computer aided design in those days...

I had a night out in Edinburgh the other week and after eating what seemed like a zoo load of different animals at the Chinese restaurant I made my way home.
I crossed the Forth on the existing road bridge and it was great to see the new one progressing.
Loads of work going on either side to link the new bridge up to existing roads.

Dramatic music!

Proof that Scot's porridge makes you strong. A few lads turn the wheels and lift a 650 tonne section into place.

Updates.

A vid from last week.

And the last section lifted into place today. thumbs up

The dollar is strong against the pound at the moment (like most currencies due to the mental antics of our southern neighbours... thumbs down) so it's an ideal time to get your butts over to Scotland for a wee visit.
