So yeah, I have an '05 S40 AWD... kinda fun, but stupid parts... ex. ABS sensor through local jobber, $145 Rock auto, $75... If I buy the Ford Fuk-us part with the same part number, local jobber, $35...

Anyway, looks like I may need a brake master, and I see no cross over with the focus on this one...
local jobber, yeah um, (and this is not retail...) $236... WAAAA. Rock auto, $186, plus $30 to cross the NAFTA line...

I looked, but I can't find a rebuild kit... I'm not "in the industry"... but why the H3ll doesn't one exist... I mean I'm sure it's a friggin o ring right! I'm not paying $236 for an o ring...

Thoughts?

Oh for the days of the 240...

Masters probably fail because the aluminium erodes away and the seals don't seal no more.

If they made it out of aluminum instead of that pommy shite, they'd last forever, but there you have it.

Turned out to be late evening hysteria... and um, neglected rears... enough to let a bit of air in one circuit. Bled them, reassured that was the issue, new rear rotors and pads, swore at the F'n car for a while...

All good! whew.
