I can't believe it took this long for someone to trademark this for a material. Bought some new snowboard goggles this winter, Oakley Prizm lens and LOVED them so much I was driving around with them on in snow. Wondering if they made the lens in sunglass form before I head over to rally eyewear mecca Sport Optical in Denver (owned by rally guy Bret Hunter who makes sunglasses for pros in many sports but many professional rallyists worldwide and also saved Cody Crane's old CRX from junkyard last year). Came across this...

Sweet.

Earsocks and nosebombs

Unobtainium® earsocks and nosebombs increase grip with perspiration for a no slip grip without compromising on style.

I'm surprised Fox didn't buy the trademark when they released Avatar.

I'm surprised it was granted a trademark since the word is already in common usage.

I first heard Unobtanium in a Satch Carlson column 30+ years ago....today I have to deal with Fragilium and Chinesium.
