They found my truck!!!!

No shit, I just picked it up. Some meth fueled tweakers that spent two weeks using my truck to go around stealing crap. They stole some magnetic Comcast contractor labels and a hardhat and stuck them on mine to get into some gated communities. Put almost 3K miles on it and get this they stole a U-haul car trailer from San Jose too...

Broke a whole bunch of little stuff but no major damage. Wohooo...finally some good news.

That's good news. Really good news would be to find that the aforementioned tweakers are now at room temperature.

Good news!!!

Hmm they stole a car trailer in San Jose... maybe that's when they got caught that the broker tripled the quote to have my car shiped to me!

Maybe we've found who was the carrier! LOL No wonder they had the best price!

That's actually a pretty good scam...especially for meth fueled tweakers. Generic looking white contractor's truck and some legit looking decals, wow, you'd expect they'd steal a U-Haul truck and then boost a 30 foot enclosed car hauler, not the other way round. Guess they had a few brain cells left.

I'm amazed they put 3k miles on it, I would think the diesel bill (or the hassle of stealing more) would have parked it as soon as it was empty.

Since you seem to know it was meth-heads, I assume they were caught and are now feeling some pain at the PD? Ooops, accidental Taser discharge. Ooops, I did it again! winking smiley

Glad you got the truck back in fairly good shape!

Hey... good for you! That's great news.

Now, assuming it uses an electric fuel pump, install a manual switch hidden somewhere (and use it). I do it on my cars. It won't prevent the bad guys from towing it, but it can slow them down a bunch if they try to drive it away.
