Hi Grant,

It is my pleasure to inform you that the Admissions Committee recommended your acceptance to the Biostatistics Masters Program. I will be mailing acceptance letters this week for your decision regarding our program.

Yup. It's the statistician that helps with medical research and such. Designing clinical trials, calculating flu distributions and probabilities to decide which vaccines to use, analyzing distributions of diseases and looking for trends, etc. Pretty much anything related to the medical field that requires a statistician. I hope to be involved in research in cancer and genetics and will probably do my thesis in one of those two fields.

Congratulations! I have a cousin who's a PA and I went to visit her back when she was in school. The stuff they got to do and study was actually quite interesting. And I have a friend who does exactly the type of thing you describe. Seems like a pretty fun job in many respects. And I say that as someone who's not fond of the medical establishment.

Too bad you'll have to work with doctors.

How's your handwritting?

j/k ......j/k!

Ahhhhhhh, hokay, for a second there I thought we'd all have a source of prescription drugs in the USA. Up here, Med School = MD definition-wise...

Should be fun!
