Reminds me of an old WWII vet I used to work with during the summers of highschool. Told me he'd buy up old 40's sedans for the tranny's but getting them out was the hard part.

They'd just head down a steep hill and roll it in a ditch and hope they stopped on the roof, then just yank it from the bottom.

There is another good pic floating around of a guy working under a green truck that's propped up by some 2x4's.

I couldn't find it but did run into something called an exhaust jack.
