Internet slang
May 06, 2009 12:36PM
After noticing that Merrilee was posting a simple "inorite" to some of the topics and having no clue what it meant, I went looking.

Pretty quickly it became obvious that I'm not up on the internet lingo, and perhaps this is why writing a text message on my cel. phone seems to take forever.

I baffles me how kids can drive with one hand and text with the other.

Anyway, in case I'm not the only person who isn't up on internet lingo...

Here's a quick search tool that'll translate :

http://www.urbandictionary.com/ is also good for this type of stuff. http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/ sometimes might help as well though it may also confuse.

Ahh. Urban Dictionary. Where I first went to find out what "Two Girls One Cup" was. Speaking of foul internet things, I read somewhere that someone tried to get "Tub Girl" on their credit card, you know the cards where they let you put pictures on it...
PS> Don't look those two things up at work. In fact, you'd probably benefit from not even looking it up at all. Though that was a pretty classic Colorado Specialstage thread...

see, and I figure of some of the ones I use, "inorite" seems to be one of the easiest to figure out, when it comes to some internet type lingo you just have to think in terms of personalized license plates

12XALT is my license plate (has been for about 18 years), figured it'd work as a screen name (and for those of you who aren't sure what it means, it's "one to exalt"winking smiley

I try not to use too much internet lingo, but sometimes it just slips in and "inorite" is one of my favorites, I also tend to say "prolly" instead of "probably, and "sammich" instead of "sandwich" and "11tybillion" which I think speaks for itself

I won't watch two girls one cup, that's too much even for me, but I will admit that I love watching the reactions of people who are watching it, some of the funniest shit I've seen

this one dude sent it to his brother, leaves it open and then tells his grandmother to look at what his brother has been watching, hilarity ensues as grandma starts cursing out the brothers and how sick they are and she keeps jumping in startled shock and saying they need therapy, but yet never once closes the window

tubgirl is sick, but classic

goatsxe (did I spell that right) is another classic and I always crack up when people do things like pumpkin carvings from it

My favorite was the Kermit and then Kermit shows it to his friend.

Edited because the Kermit one is actually dumb.

Ah, yes 2G1C, that's a walk in the park by a couple of good Christian girls compare to what my buddy explained to me what another word was. I will not repeat what that word is, so no one please ask. There are some things I can go without knowing about for all my life. This is one of those things that I have to live with. If I could only erase that particular memory, I'd be a happy camper.

Merrilee and Tim,

Seriously, I know you're both adults and fully capable of making up your own minds. I'm libertarian and I believe people should decide for themselves. However even I'll probably need therapy eventually for having this idea rolling around in my mind. I'll throw you a bone though and one I find particular funny, a little bit devious and generally a very nasty thing to do to someone you particularly dislike, look up an upper decker on urbandictionary.com

something else I'll do at home (didn't get to look at the Kermit link since I never turned the computer on last night)

as to guessing though, I was just hoping to see people coming up with a fun/funny list of things, not really trying to get you to tell

We got my buddy's wife and my girlfriend to check out goatse.cx one time. Hilarity ensued for my buddy and I, for about 3 seconds. Damn, those girls were PISSED!!
