Maybe if he sells some stuff, he'll pay who he got some of it from.
One of the guys I get stuff from asked to find if he was still alive, never heard back after he arranged for a couple of cars to be sent which had 3-4 exra diffs in them.
Paid for the cars but not the diffs.

Then again the same guy just shorted me 2 out of 5 diffs in this last shipment.

For anyone else eyeballing the Motorsports shell:

* Cage is 1.75x0.100 and has the CARS sticker already
* Car does not come with headlamps, bumpers, skirts or hood
* Car has VIN and has been titled for road use in Canada

I think it'd be more cost effective to import a car.

Sprongl's have an Escort motorsports shell for sale for ~$7000 with no doors.

Whitman has a Sapphire shell for sale. I think I recall it being around $6000 but Mike H. would know for sure. It was RHD and has tons of spares.

Or, best bet would be to buy Sanborn's second Cossie for $22K or whatever he was asking a while back.

How so? Cage in Canada is $3000+ alone. If this had been available before I started, I'dve bought in in a heartbeat to avoid all the rust crap I've been dealing with.

BTW, the ex-merril Sprongl car is beat to hell. I have pictures at home, but it'd be an easy 10k before you could even start thinking about putting stuff on the car.

Take $7K for the shell with cage and add on the cost to buy every other little item, random sensor, bulb, bumpers, etc. and you've nickle and dimed (uhh, don't know the Canadian version of that saying) your way up to $20K before you know it. Oh and those are USD.

Sure if you want to make it a 4x4 cossie powered car. But everything save the driveshaft from an XR bolts up, so buy a junker for $200, bolt up all the JVAB boingers, brakes, beam, engine etc and you're on your way. I may be biased, however, since there are a few of them located near me which have spare bits like lamps, bumpers, fenders etc. sitting around. I'd imagine finding something like a fender would be tough if you didn't know anyone...

Man it is a good looking car. I keep wanting to bid again, just to find out what the reserve is...

From what I understand from a friend that sells a few cars on e-bay the reserve is generally just a bit lower (10%-15%) than "Buy Now" price listed, and I think the Cossie had a "Buy Now" price. He knows quite a few guys in the US and Canada that sell cars and other stuff on e-bay and that is how they do it.
