We had a 320 down at DeWees Datsun for a shop truck. There was a sign on the door proclaiming over 300k on the clock. That was true but the engine had been rebuilt several times. Great trucks if the metal worms didn't get to them.

That truck looks way too nice to be in the pucker bushes, the wheels are still decent. What is the story?

Welcome to the Nissan club!

Oh Mike, I've been part of the Datsun/Nissan club since I was born and I've already got a 69 1600 that's wishing I wasn't so lazy and would finish restoring it. Eventually it'll get hauled from mom's over to my place, but it's low on the project list. I've had two of the little sportstrucks (one got hit by a camaro, and the other one is still at mom's, also somewhere on the project list waiting bodywork), a 510 wagon, a 1200 w/trunk, a later model 510, maxima wagon and not sure what else right now, lol.

Here's me and mom when I was a tiny lass tongue sticking out smiley

From what I was told my mom's friend's friends are both cops and when it was left abandoned in impound they took it home. They then sold it to that friend's renter. The renter was going to this that and whatever else to it and never did. When he moved out, he owed her money and left it sitting on her property behind the rental house which is also behind her house and told her she could have it. She runs a horse ranch and had no use for a little purple datsun that doesn't run. The plates expired in 96, so it's probably been sitting out there since then. They've kept it mostly out of the vines the entire time, and for a long time it had a tarp on it. This last year is the first year it's been completely covered in vines.
