So a two months ago, the fuel pump in the my wife's 04 golf started buzzing. I got it replaced at a reputable shop. Now its been dying, at idle, cruising on the freeway, where ever, then starts after 2-3 tries. Its done it about 8-10 times now. DOES NOT MAKE FOR HAPPY WIFEY. I took it back to the shop and they ganked me way to much to replace the pump relay. Still dying. I let the shop owner know this is a new problem, started after he installed the new pump, and I'm not happy. He's laying on the BS about how he could put in a new evap can for $500, but that might not fix it.

Any one want to buy a golf?

ya it sounds very much like the issue hoche is having..

maybe hoche will want to buy a 2nd golf

Guy calls the other day and states he just bought a Realta motorhome, powered by Volkswagen, Asked if I would work on it...nope I says. He then asks why...anyhow I hope he finds a shop and you get a nice Acura for the wife.

How about the ignition switch? does the radio randomly turn on and off, Does it do other random things? Every VW/Audi i have had needed one replaced...
