I managed to bust a bone in my right hand last Sunday. Like a moe-ron I was trying to snap a pic of me running a 2" hole saw one handed. Crack! Went the metacarpal bone on my ring finger. I tried to shake it off, but couldn't work any more and ended up driving 35 miles home in my stick shift Subie pulling a loaded trailer. Extensive Jameson therapy made the evening tolerable, but the next morning I knew I needed an X-ray.

Doc is hoping I'll be healed enough for a removable cast by race time, but in the meantime workIng on the car is pretty much pointless for me to attempt. I've been busy buying all the stuff we need. Anybody have a $5 oil and/or power steering cooler? Boneyard hopping is again kind of off the table, although Eduardo Mayhem has been a huge help.

You mean something like this:

Phhhhfffft.. Duct tape it to pinkie, Rush Limbaugh Skittles and man up.

[old geezer voice on] why when i was yore age I'd break bones like that and not even notice it till the gloves came off, then have a nice hot cuppa tea and be happy I still had an ARM!!! X-rays, HA! We'd be lucky I only got beaten with a 18" adjustable for getting blood on the tools. Oi! Here's some mates of mine, they'll tell like it really was![/old geezer voice off]

That's pretty much exactly it, although my break was more of a northwest to southeast orientation. Limbaugh Skittles and Harpoon IPA made the pain disappear even better than whiskey!

Most of the time it feels ok, but move it wrong and you get pain like the music in the Spanish Inquisition skit.

I've got this one off my Sentra race car. I upgraded to a larger Mocal cooler for the PS. It's yours if you want it, but I guess for Lemons purposes I will trade you one beer for it.

Sucks about your hand! Get well.

Glad to help out.

I'm all over the map with beers. Sometimes it's a mainstream beer, more often a microbrew. Got a real likin' for Shiner Bock and Yuengling Black'n'Tan, but I gotta travel to get those...not available in New England.

I've got a cooler I'll donate. It sounded like you needed two. Mine is nearly identical to the one above, started life as an oil cooler for an audi 10v turbo.

Cool, I need to score an appropriate sandwich plate to fit the Ford oil filter...but can't really do that much in the junkyard right now with my splinted up right hand. Also creeping closer to the $500 budget limit....
