Welcome to the internet.

This is a magical place of wonder where text is used in place of verbal communication. Images take the place of useless descriptions. People ask questions when they have questions. I don't want to talk to you if you don't have a question about the truck.

Considering I'm selling it at just above scrap prices, it's not worth my time to deal with tire kickers...if you want to buy something, let me know.

What is there to negotiate? Its $500 for the truck, you can make an offer if you'd like.

Your business must be pretty successful if you are running it out of a rented trailer.....at 49 years old you should be doing better than trying to scrap cars in your back yard.

12909 Roosevelt Rd, Apt B Snohomish, WA 98290-8831

You should be careful how you speak to people you don't know on the internet Bill....

Awesome!

I responded to an ad for a tent trailer for Brent. Said leave phone number, no emails and it was local so I did. No response. We wasted a day driving around looking at overpriced junk. Couple days later the guy re-listed..hmm.. I sent another email suggesting if he responded as indicated in the first ad he might be better off than repeatedly relisting. Guy called within 10 minutes and that evening we bought his trailer. People are goofy on the 'net or at least CL.

I am in NO WAY, I repeat NO WAY connected with this schmoe. winking smiley

I'll share with you a much better picture you won't find on the web (unless Timmy decides to steel it from me)

And a really cool CL story. I participate in Microsoft focus groups from time to time. For my time and brilliant input smoking smileythey give me software I never really need. I had a bunch of it I put on Craig's List for nothing just to get rid of it. Unopened, licensed etc. etc. all good stuff right. I listed Project, Vista, something else I can't remember for $50. My plans were to use the money to give to a Microsoft friend who had been laid off. A guy responds and offers me $200 for each. I thought for sure I was getting set up for some undercover sting. I gave him an address a block away from where I live, walked out the door with my sunglasses on, turned out the guy was an "eBay reseller" who was cruising the city for deals, the inside of his car looked like the bat mobile with monitors and maps.. but he gave me a little jackpot and I payed it forward.

Sorry for posting such a big picture. It wasn't so much a lazy thing just a new computer, new photography software, running out the door out of town thing. I came back to fix it and couldn't. I appreciate you all tolerating my creative side while I learn a bit.

Forgiveness...it's what it's all about...

ok, I'm confused

posting says supply a number, if you want to talk via email rather than call the person supplying the number as asked for in the ad, why didn't the ad say "will answer questions via email, but please supply a number so I know you aren't a spammer"

honestly I sorta stopped reading after you didn't call him when he gave you his number

Craigslist is inundated by spammers, they post generic responses and don't include a number, the number is to show that you arent a spammer. It works pretty well to weed out spam.

Had the guy had a valid question that needed to be answered over the phone I would've been more than happy to call him, but he was just a dick.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. You wanted a phone number, to me that means you are going to call once it's supplied. By giving it to you he's shown interest in your ad. His first email he did exactly as you asked. IMO instead of emailing him back, you should have called him. So, yes, he turned into a dick, no doubt, but as I read it, it was prompted.

Agree to disagree.

I e-mailed him back with my telephone number on the second response, I just deleted it from here because I didn't want it posted for the whole internet.

He was just trying to get the truck for free like most scrappers try.

Nah, my dad had a few cars he left us to take care of, he passed away in April of this year. He loved you and Matt helping out with the car out in Pomeroy btw, he talked about you guys all the time......so I put a bunch of his cars up on craigslist.

SO If anyone needs a running aerostar that needs alot of work or a junk ford pickup I have two of each, I also have a 2000 Prelude with 320K on it that will need a new auto trans soon and a timing belt immediately.
