Christ youze made of sterner stuff than me. Whew (from what I've seen and read. And Russian and Ukrainian ones too...Lordy.)

Pretty sure I would have been 18 to 22ish, from around 1989. Was definitely there 3 times over 4 years, missed a year to do someting else like feck about with cars or girls (probably cars), or riding bikes and girls (probably bikes), or dancing with girls or drugs (probably drugs)......

But yes, after spending summers in the affluent USA then seeing Romania at that time it certainly does stick with me and make me thankful for my lot and the freedoms I have.
