Between Olympia and Seattle they tend to plant themselves in the fast lane and do just under posted speed limit. It is a constant event. They don't look left or right or acknowledge the constant stream of cars passing them on their right. I really think there is a Prius Anarchy where the SOBs get together and plan their rolling road blocks.

The Toyota Pious. The Toyota Smug. Yes there is an attitude problem there. Nuthin Gene's solution wouldn't fix.

The way I look at it; most people who by a Pirus do not like cars and are unhappy that they need to drive at all. Is it surprising that someone who does not enjoy what they are doing is not very good at it?

I am rather shocked at the wide spread level of unattentive driving I see in all brands of cars these days. Again we are not really a car culture anymore.

I want to put a 2x12 oak push bar on the front of my Legacy so I can PIT all these moe-rons who camp in the left lane doing 5 under.

Having had a Pius for a rental for a day...yeah the driving experience is pretty much what I'd call driving a Maytag.

There should also be a special place in hell for the "one speed" drivers -- you know, the ones who do 42 in the 55, then stay doing 42 when the limit drops to 40, then 30...the polizei never seem to see these people except when they're doing 42 in a 40...

Here in SoCal,besides the typical Prius driver you'd expect(i.e.-in your way),we have another kind as well,and I've seen it too many times to be an anomaly.

If they are not just straight out acting like I am in a race with them or something,I see them coming up on me on the freeway(I usually drive at 75-80 on our freeways-traffic permitting)and pass me like I'm sitting still -weaving in and out of traffic like a fast and furious ricer-mobile.....seen this MANY times.

Because-Prius racecar?

It's funny how people try to stereotype drivers into groups. I stereotype daily when driving.
"Cmon you fucking dirt loving hippy trash!" - to any car with an Obama sticker
"Get off the damn brake you stupid ignorant fuck!" - to any car with Bush/McCain or Pro-life sticker
"Fucking greenies learn how to drive!!!" - to every car with Colorado license plates, and there are alot of them.

I've come to realize that I just mostly hate other drivers and most of them have no clue how to drive. Driving sucks, most people don't like to drive, yet they WILL choose to live an hour each way from their work so that they can have 500 square feet and a nice private school nearby...

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone on the freeway yields to me when I am coming onto the freeway. It is MY job to speed up or slow down and slot in, not your job to speed up to block me or as is more common, slow down to let me in.

Oh yeah, Jeeps. I have an irrational hatred of Jeeps on the roadway. Simply driving one already says you are probably fairly ignorant and they always seem to drive like total asshats. Ironically most people I know that own Jeeps are fairly decent and nice people. Of course, half of those people have parked their Jeeps while they try to find a way to afford to fix them.

My most common occurance on my way to work is where everyone usually drives about 5 over the limit. I come upon someone driving either 5 under the limit or right at the limit and slowing down for every little curve or hill. I pass them, eventually, then they speed up and are on my tail, usually for only a mile or 2 then they drop back again (this is on 2 lane roads).
