New RWSRallysport vehicle

I got this babe magnet on the weekend. 125cc 3 speed (2 stroke), beat up as hell, but way cheaper than driving my car these days. $10 worth of gas goes a month or more...

Let the modifications begin!
You can make it 175!!
And a pipe, ring-dingers need a expansion chamber!
We can make that thing do 3rd gear wheelies!!

And here I thought JV was going to call him a poofta for not gettin a MX bike with plates. smiling smiley

That thing is pretty cool. The redneck in me wants to see it in desert camo paint. OTOH, I don't think you can touch anything that's so "classically" beat up...so put a big bore kit on it and terrorize the OPP.

We now have 4 Honda Ruckus scooters and 2 other brand scooter in the Colorado rally posse. They are so ideal for getting around. Though I think I may be getting scooter 'roids from my hour commute on it daily.

Most states require insurance and registration for over 50 cc so I went with the Ruckus. Here's the next one I'm buying once they release them here.

Yah, humour of all humours, I actually need to register it as a full motorcycle here and get a motorcycle license to drive it since it's a manual transmission. Under 50cc twist-and-go scooters (lame) still need a special type of motorcycle license here in On - as the governement couldn't pass up the opportunity to cash in on a few more licensing fees.

I am going to tear down the motor this weekend - Parts for these things are humorously cheap. I was thinking maybe paint it bright pink with some Hello Kitty accents?

Why? The current paint job looks killer.

Actually the 3 speed auto makes the old Vespas attractive as a scooter. The small tires and limited travel and unburlyness of them has always scared me away though.

no doubt. it has a nice patina to it. there are people out there who take new stuff and work really hard to make them look that way.

It will soon have a nice Tremclad white paintjob, since I made up a new floor for it (old one was rusted to hell). Bought a new piston for it ($12) to replace my stuck one and am now trying to beat the old cowl into shape...

If you're not completely sold on your hello kitty paint scheme...

You should consider the Fred Flintstone loin cloth pattern as a paint job.

Too much snow to ride here (I can't find winter tyres for the thing in 3.5x8, weird) so I've decided to pimp it out with some new paint...

Sweet ride!!!

We have a Vespa dealer in the Lou' If I didn't live so far out in the burbs, I'd own one myself. I've seen a few out where I live, but seem to be mostly in the city proper. I take it you'll post pics when you're done. grinning smiley
