NASCAR in the rain

6/21/14 - was flipping channels and had a WTF moment.

NASCAR racing in the rain at Road America on ABC.

Did Hell freeze over? When did NASCAR start running in the rain?

3rd time for the Nationwide cars but only on road courses they say. I think the big guys have done it a time or two also in years gone by. Was it a good show?

I watched maybe an hour. It was fun to watch. Not as much fun as watching IMSA etc, but better than some F1 races with no passing.

I think they did it first when they took the show to Japan, because of the logistics involved. Can't exactly make a rain date when you have gigantic lead times in getting the cars and crews over there.

They were prepared to run in the rain just in case, and they ended up having to do it, and the drivers thought it was kinda neat.
