I'm drinking Elijah Craig which is 12 years old. I've finished 750ml.

750ml is a third of a gallon. A third of 750 is 250. 250 minues 12 years is 238. The US is 238 years old today.

Ah... The days of doing mathematics that finishes with a number. I didn't use a calculator once during graduate school. Geometry made way more sense once I took Calc 3 and started deriving all the formulas you just get told "here they are" in high school.

The irony, of course, is that the country was founded by a bunch of left-wingers who were tired of the King's shit.

Not true at all. but in the day of blurt it out now and its truth tomorrow .. . i guess why not.

When the country was formed, the founders viewed political parties more as fractions and as dangerous. they certainly were not touting ideas that we would call "left" today (no social services , Unequal voting rights ) and it was under Washington that political parties started to form.

The first version of the presidential voting system had no vice president on the ballet, because the runner up was awarded the vice presidency

also back then then the democratic party was the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic-Republican_Party_(United_States)

...

i bet you were joking, but if not, please go read a book sometime. smiling smiley

Ahhhhh the days of taking math courses that labeled themselves as math courses.

Grant's got it. When you have to do that in thermo, you won't even realize you're using calc. smiling smiley

Where is my Common Core? Or my Waldorf school?

At some point I found that I could drive a TSD and estimate my times and distance in my head close enough to correct fat fingers in the right seat. smiling smiley

But still, I feel like I missed something, especially since I work with a bunch of injun-ears.
