Oh, no man, it's tolerated by anybody BUT me. See an insult and personal attack doesn't have to be saying "You're a stuuuuuuuuupid bastard" in can be like Mike Hurst's attack which he is saying clearly "YOU ARE A LIAR", but that takes understanding a bit how language implies things and the reason people like Hust do it is because they want to be liked by everybody (a Mid-west thing) and to appear "proper". Hurst, ya think? I would think anyone who is a national scrutineer might want to have really thick skin. Ya think he would bother to whine to the SS.com admins? And about what? Bikes versus cars? Stage times from '95 LSPR?
At least no one can say that they can't figure out where you are coming from or that you AREN'T passionate about rallying, John. I prefer yer over-the-top, colorful, hand dealt face up stuff you type to the usual fan-boy, kiss-ass "oh, oh, oh, I'll re-type something that I read last week, on another forum, but have no personal knowledge of" spew. Whatevah! SS.com can't HANDLE THE TRUTH!, or much that isn't 110% kiss-ass-chicken-shit. Ted Mendham www.rensport.net |

Hell if I know, but he is a angry guy and writes pretty stupid and threatening letters to some of out Rallyanarchistas muchachos here saying shit like "I'll do everything in my power to see you'll never start another rally in USA ever!!!!" And it's pretty clear that he has a VERY BAD personality trait of digging his heels in when somebody doesnt agree with him. > > At least no one can say that they can't figure out > where you are coming from or that you AREN'T > passionate about rallying, John. Ya know, I was yakking with Buffum once and he asked if I had any idea why some people had "something wierd" with him, and i said, Yeah I know what it is, and he said "REALLY?!!! What?" I said You still have passion for this sport, you've been doing this forever as a central part of your life and both those things makes some small minded people threatened and or jealous. JB "Huh?" I said yeah, it's that simple--I know cause from some, I get the same shit". And as for the cards dealt face up, I was just using that same analogy with Anders Green and saying "ya know, all competition isn't soley about beating the other guy, most of all the whole scene is and must work on a very co-operative, non profit, damn near traditional Commie basis: We all have to help and do want we can to the best of our abilities. And we all hope that we're all voluntarily, co-operatively going along with the rules, and if we all show our cards, then the better we can "network" and git shit done, be it organise, or build cars or build motors" And that my take and I stick by it! > > Whatevah! > > SS.com can't HANDLE THE TRUTH!, or much that isn't > 110% kiss-ass-chicken-shit. And man do they hate it if you don't act like your speaking from the pulpit! Brothers!! SINNERS!!!!! Still runs a Tiburon for Antoine, organizes New England Forest, still competes overseas, and finds time to run the Vermont Winter Challenge TSD. And, I have seen him working as service crew for the Sprongls or Tom McGeer. He still is everywhere and has more energy and patience with the BS than all of us. Never mind helping the SRT-USA guys. He has done so much more for rallying than his driving stats would indicate. Ted Mendham www.rensport.net |

The outrage can only last so long. The more people that are banned and the more threads that are closed, then the sooner SS dies or merges with Rally America. I fly just a hair under the radar, but I'll be banned eventually. As an ex-smoker with heart disease, I am just SO FUCKING PISSED that these Subaru guys have these fucking "energy drinks" as sponsors. There isn't a damn thing I can do about it. |

SS.com is already a Rally-America's total biotch! And, Rally-America is SRT-USA total biotch. I know, I know, I'm restating the obvious, again. There is nothing that anyone can do about it. That's money talking! Is there a better show, that they should be sucking up to?
Jens, why not let them do X-tremely kewl stuff like ride snowboards and drink Monster Energy Drink? Maybe, the old-fart Rally-Anarchists ought to start their own version of the X-Games, you know sort of a realty series, to gain some support, respect or plain old fear or disgust from the masses. Then the young life-style concious wannabees will begin to appreciate how kewl the old timerz really are. They could do kewl things like: Mug people leaving ATMs so that they can buy their meds Oatmeal eating competitions. Put some live cockroachs in the oatmeal, Fear Factor style! Don't let the contestants wear their glasses, if they are squeemish. Figure-8 racing (identically prepared) Priuss or SAAB 96s in the back yard of the old folks home. Or, they can just argue which platform is better for rallying. The arguement could culminate in a full fight to the death! That's x-treme! Commentator "Oh look, now Stig has pulled out a bic lighter and is trying to light up Eric Carlson's oxygen tank." Hot (young) Imported Nurses (in appropriate skanky nurse outfits) lap dancing old-farts in wheel-chairs while canyon carving to certain doom. Michele Mouton can have a male nurse, if she desires. This is my personal dream. Extra style points could be awarded to old-farts who wear fun things like Elvis, Nixon or Bella Lugosi masks and period correct attire. The possibilities are endless. ;-) Who knows Spike might pick it up, if we can get Rod Stewart to perform. Ted Mendham www.rensport.net |

Now that I would do, The Stig I know would not do that (much). I can see Jens and JVL at each others throat, I can hear the commentator go "Jens is trying to wrap JVL's neck with an environmentally safe hose, he's choking him, wait JVL dumped a pot full of hot black tea on Jens' face, for the love of God somebody stop them!!" > > Hot (young) Imported Nurses (in appropriate skanky > nurse outfits) lap dancing old-farts in > wheel-chairs while canyon carving to certain doom. > Michele Mouton can have a male nurse, if she > desires. Here's something I don't understand about Specialstage: why haven't they gone the Google ads route yet? They could probably make some decent money through those unobtrusive ads. They could also do all kinds of things with affiliate marketing to make money by getting commissions for pointing to rally items on different sites (like Amazon or ebay - see my crappy http://www.rallyoutlet.com site for a poor example of what they could do). I bet that those two tools would cover a good portion of the costs or running the site, if not completely. Then they wouldn't have to kowtow to any particular sponsors, unless there is some other reason for it other than money. ----------------------------- http://www.max-attack.com |

Ted, dude, I thought you were one of the Subaru NWO cheerleaders. Do I have you confused with someone else? Are you a recovering NWO'er? Is what you wrote above part of a 12-step program? The room is spinning, and I can't get it to stop....... |
