I'll defend anybody and every entry at LSPR who drove down those muddy, lake covered, swap "roads" we rallied on this past weekend. How are you at all able to make fun of or degrade someone who was at LSPR who drove 42mph average. You weren't even there. Photos don't even do it justice. I'm in utter amazement that 2WD cars even made it down some sections of road. To go fast on those roads you would have needed swamper tires. |

My girlfriend is going to be awfully dissapointed when she finds out I am "apparently" gay :*( John, lighten up. Seriously though, I basically don't post here anymore strictly because of you. You suck, in an awful way. Learn how to take a joke, and that you aren't the fucking equivalent of a popped pimple gushing with knowledge of rally... (It was either that or comparing him to the blowhard that is old faithful. I think a pimple was more suiting). |

All you min-intellects who are so insecure in who you are:
You are all retarded to connect questioning How could people drive down the road so slow at XXmph" with "denigrating" or whatever internet forum only word.. Saying they were slow is NEUTRAL you twerps. It doesn't---except in you pretend this shit is real minds---mean they are good or bad people.. The sentence "they are bad people " is clear enough, iddnit? That says "they" are bad" Saying "they are bad people people because they drove slowly" see? that's clear.. And I could write that...but I didn't.. I wrote "How could they go only 43 mph" ( in the context of Gene McCollough blabbering constantly that "Everybody is much faster now than back in the day, MUCH FASTER, soooooooooo much faster"-----and I've been out to and looked at results in detail and don't see it)* A couple of Keyboard ex-spurts decided rather than answer the question---"it was deep mud, and tons of leaves down, and snow" or whatever---because they are classic "once were medium sized fish in small mud puddle" type guys, they take EVERY QUESTION as AN ATTACK.. Every question is not an attack---dumb fucks. (If you're not a dumbfuck then this doesn't apply so don't pretend offense) Pretending like every question is an attack ruins and suppresses any discussion and limits all communcation to utterances like "Oh that's Awesome" to everything.... If the stautus quo is ideal and stasis is you goal then OK, just be a cheerleader. *the problem with saying shit that is false and willfully believing false bullshit like Gene faulty memory is it is easy to get content..and say to oneself " Everybody agrees we're WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY faster now, we bad" and the only difference is that some have cars that are potentially faster.....but not driven with much vigor. Plus one bazzilion... Thanks Steve...question addressed...If there was any kind of info about the conditions which are always a factor--always--then that's half the answer... But 15 years into widespread inter-net availability the information of the conditions is not even sketchy..its crap. The one time I did that even the conditions were so bad that chaos would be a generous description. They even cancelled the last 2-3 stages of the first night---a shock considering the event was called "Press on Regardless" for decades.. That said, there's mud and then there's mud...The mud up there is nice mud---compared to say red clay....the thing that was really treacherous I thought was the blanket of leaves which coming from the PNW we never encounter....those leaves were SLICK...and the sheer amount of standing water was also 'something else"......we had GALLONS and Gallons of water on board sloshing around. Gear bags were floating in the back seat area.. It was a big challenge--and I loved it... Such a shame the most basic info is so poorly done. This has become one of my pet peeves about rally team PR lately. But I am bothered even more by the gap between first and second overall at various RA events this year. over 11 minutes at LSPR. There has been almost no close racing in the race for an overall win at any RA events this year. Matt Smith Racing in glorious black and red My daily life is a Saab story (sold!) |

From what I heard from other competitors, he put on some dedicated mud tires (Yokohama I think) in service and proceeded to whip everybody on stage times. Caught 2 cars on one stage! Amazing what the correct tires can do. ![]() |

Your quote kinda seems like an attack to me. If you had a genuine interest as to why there were cars driving so slow, you have an odd way of asking questions. ![]()

kind of funny.. the nanny / spam filter at work won't let me load page 56 of this thread.
the rest of it loads even with all the cursing, but page 56 was just over the top ... so why were we picking on Alex Lloyde? cause he's new and still driving at a new drivers pace? or cause he bragged about "winning the rally" with out saying " my class ... of 3 " did Nick Roberts or Peter Fetila have good muds to run on? or was it just Higgins and i would assume ACP with the right tires and then a slew of other cars trying to make soft gravels work during a mud bog competition ? heheh |
