Oooo! The next "this will save rally" is almost here!

I can't believe that I'm the first to point out that R-A's new Manufacturer Championship will save rally.

As long as you're driving a Ford, Honda, or Subaru.

And paying the $texas$ national entry fees.

But what's a few dollars extra, when you have the chance to score MANUFACTURER POINTS? (I wish, wish, wish I could use the <blink> tag on that.)

A bargain at twice the price, as John would say.

Less talk. More rally.

Wonder if this is a revival of Kurtie Spitzi-ner Manufacturer's Council whereby you "joined" by paying a $25,000 fee and then you got a 'seat" on the "council" and the results of cars with "your" brands got points but the points were rewarded by the finishing of "Manufacturer council Registered" cars..

So maybe some obscure MFG pays the bribe, Joe Schmo enters their thing, finishes 25th OA, but first Grope 2 Manufacturers Council registered car, 7th in Gp2 but 1ST!!!! in Manufacturers Points..

And if no other cars MFGs paid the bribe, like VW North America didn't ---well no results just as if there wasn't a single Golf entered in an event all year long..beating the whatever the thing was.

Who's wants to bet its some version of this??

Of course, looking at the National entry list, I think the only unmentioned brands are Greenhouse's Neon and a dual-entered Mini Cooper (although Mini is on the B-Spec list...so they'd probably get points anyways).

Maybe if Chris beats up the Fiestas they'll change things?

This championship will eclipse all others as we believe everyone likes to do it RAW.

As I posted on SpecialStage, this has me the most excited I've been about rally sans being in the driver seat for a LONG time. I might have to go spectate a couple of events. Ken, David, Antoine battling, this will be a championship to watch. The ARC or BRC doesn't even have that much excitement at the front of the pack!
