Greenhouse is already signed up (and paid) over here: http://www.nasarallysport.com/results/2014-Sandblast-Rally-registration-entry-list.htm so whatever that means, I'm sure it saves rally. ![]() Wow, I hadn't noticed that! Basically "Sucks that STPR "had to" move the date a week earlier so Ben Klock can go play at some Globular Rally-x made for TV epic. Suck that tradition of xx years gives way for ONE GUY... So what's the big mishygass on tradition? It turns out by inexorable logic that "without sponsors there can be no rally, so moving the date so Ben Klock can play means his sponsors will be happy and thus (somehow ![]() So tradition be damned if one guy wants to play 2 week-ends in a row. Evan Cline likes to whine about quitting rally and how expensive it is or how Subaru shunned him with their payouts or or or... He's been doing it for years.
Do people think Scion will be back this year? History tells us not likely. Pretty hard to maintain a factory effort with no TV or large ROI. I'm still surprised Rally America is still around. Must have been the prospect of Pastrana returning and the huge ROI that will add to the series so they can offload it on the next sucker. Grant Hughes |

Yup, I was surprised to see Block on the entry list this early. Maybe now he sees the value in saving thousands of dollars over the season... Was RA planning on the "regulars" continuing to pay the full price? That seems like a strong business model. Dave Grenwis - DG Rally - www.dgrally.com |

Just for you Anders:
http://www.bybillwood.com/american-rally-stakeholders-at-odds-again/ I dont think its easy to go through each article in order, the best way is to start with the one I linked and then go to his "blog" link and work your way from the November 25th article to the newer ones (one per day). Now, I'm not going to lie, if you go on some statistical nonsense talk about what he is saying, I may have to kill somebody. Just sayin :p And more seriously, I feel this is what we in Canada have been doing... in large part thanks to Keith (or at least his supervision). Blows my mind that we can have a 30 car regional like BigWhite when it wasn't long ago we were barely seeing a bit over 10 car fields. Hopefully we can retain the level we are currently at. |

Does anyone else read his writings, hearing his rich tenor in their mind? Man, he has such a great voice. Perfect for an announcer or radio commentator. Like a not-quite-as-deep James Earl Jones... No, you don't, not in the URL bar. Lower right corner. The code is happening in the "pop up". All connections to the credit card processor are via HTTPS. You can read more about it here: https://stripe.com/help/security NRS does have a SSL certificate installed, which is in use when the popup is active. You can inspect it by loading this: https://www.nasarallysport.com/nrsdb/ (or any of the other pages in the user account similarly) Anders Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

Ok, no statistics. ![]() Instead, I'll just say that in my opinion, he's wrong, the things he believes are priorities shouldn't be, the ROI he believes exists doesn't, the model that he believes would make rally work has not been successfully used anywhere in the world, and that he doesn't have the conviction to put his money where his mouth is. That's the short version of the dialog, already publicly posted, between him and myself. Is it better for you with no numbers? ![]() Anders Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

Yeah with an impressive voice saying things like: people will be so impressed they won't notice its unsubstantiated, exaggerated, unsupportable generalizations without a real shread of reality.. Grown in stature internationally? Gimme a break! "unlike no other' well yeah but that MAY not mean what he think it means---and besides, how the hell does he know anything about other countries National series? Their roads? their social structures? I think maybe he just likes listening to that voice...content be damned. Again and again its carefully nuanced "general hype" that jsut isn't true. Oh yeah I lurv this guy, such pronouncements! So insightful:
BILLWOODS said
Once again another in the long line of "media" geniis that thinks there is some intrinsic or substantial qualitative difference between people who waste the money paying $xxxx dollars and those with more snese who pay $ZZZ dollars.. Who IS this guy? Why do all ALL the people who think they are media people--talkers---blabber-ers--- think they should suggest WHO should enter an event.. Who do they think they are? IF there was some difference----aside from entry fee and towing distance---then many of the so called "National class" would not be finishing sprinlkled all over the entire field, right down into the near last overall. And if BILLWOODS knew anything he's know that and not be suggesting any separation---more an obliteration of the false differences.
