Apparently us good for nothing Scots aspiring to become an independent nation and rid ourselves of the morally bankrupt twats down south has caused the pound to drop in value....

Meaning it could soon become financially viable for North American continent rallyists to travel over to the Un-United Kingdom and compete in the many rally events we have here.
There will be a choice to drink warm beer (admittedly even from a Scot it's still better than the pisswater you guys have) and eat eels at English events. Or tuck in to some Haggis and real beer and whisky whilst attending the events in the superior north wilds of Scotland. smileys with beer

Political and financial meltdown might just save rally! thumbs up

Real beer and an Islay whiskey please!

My Good man, let me remind you that what you galoot consider warm and what the rest of the world consider warm are a wee bit apart.

If we browsw the wisedfom of the Intra-web some guy said:
Quote

Beer is best served in between “ice cold” and room temperature. There are a lot of generalization made about beers of different colours, most of which are false. However, when it comes to temperature, colour seems to make a big difference. Lighter-coloured beers are generally best served cold. At the warmest end are the big, dark beers like Quadrupels, Imperial Stouts and Barley Wines. At cellar temperature are English-style beers and in the middle is just about everything else.

Very cold (0-4C/32-39F): Any beer you don’t actually want to taste. Pale Lager, Malt Liquor, Canadian-style Golden Ale and Cream Ale, Low Alcohol, Canadian, American or Scandinavian-style Cider.

Cold (4-7C/39-45F): Hefeweizen, Kristalweizen, Kölsch, Premium Lager, Pilsner, Classic German Pilsner, Fruit Beer, brewpub-style Golden Ale, European Strong Lager, Berliner Weisse, Belgian White, American Dark Lager, sweetened Fruit Lambics and Gueuzes, Duvel-types

OK so they be sayin 39-45F..
Is that, or is that not considered average "roooom temperature" in Scotland?
So average room temp is ideal beer temp!
Rigid logic, man!
Ha! The case rests!

I love my engraved 32 ounce mugs ... too bad i crashed and my mugs serve to remind me i lost.. lmao (well 2nd place ... same thing) thought it does seem to make the beer taste more delicious

Serving beer at the correct temperature is important, its also important to store beer properly , esp if it is non filtered and has yeast in it (like Sierra Nevada)

sierra Nevada uses an "American ale yeast " rumored to be Yweat labs 1056 "american ale" where the yeast like it 68-75 . these will actually improve with age ... if you can keep them around that long .

I'm dabbling in home brewing so ended up learning a bit about sierra nevada pale ale (more than when i was just drinking it)
