Are you sure it's not taking competitor-edited and posted in-car and moving it to a central series youtube account?

I assume that's about this:

Interesting. I saw the video yesterday but I did not check closely which account it was posted under.

But no, in this particular case, I'm talking about this:
http://www.nasarallysport.com/main/rallycoverage?e=2013-Sandblast-Rally
It's where the cynical are supposed to say "Oh, blogging? Welcome to 2003." and the fanbois say "OMG, from my phone?!!!!!" *grin*

Cheers,
Anders

(But actually, my hope is that the organizers say "Oh, I can offload the event updates to a managed list of other people and all that info is tracked for me? Thanks, one less thing on my plate."winking smiley

Can't we go further? It's like 1985, when you could dial in to a BBS and leave a message. And see ascii art. SOMETIMES IN COLOR!

Is there any penalty to hitting the chicane? Can you just get a good brush guard on the front and straighten those chicanes right out?

Tim.

Tim.

I'm not sure if it's codified in the R-A rules, or the event supps, or what, but 99% there's a penalty levied for hitting the chicanes.

At Colorado it was something like 1 minute per cone. Allegedly, after Pastrana mowed a bunch down in 2009, he said "I'm going to make back that time, or crash out trying", and SRTUSA said "nu-uh" and he didn't race the next day.

Too dangerous http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1315518/Segway-tycoon-Jimi-Heselden-dies-cliff-plunge-scooters.html#axzz2KbjNJrJh

So, you push forward to go forward? If you take off fast and your weight moves back then it slows down? Interesting form of a restrictor. That would really be a fun distraction at a spectator location like our ORV park. Watching the guys try and ride the articulated bike at Olympus a few years ago was a riot.

Well, the one he was riding didn't have dual-density FIA spec padding. That will save Segway.

C'mon Anders. That video is from 2009. Obviously people who "know" have already evaluated this and decided it's fate for us.

The next thing to save rally:
"Now that my information comes from being there, and inside the tents/walls/fences etc.. I realize I was a complete retard, and just about everything posted, blogged, broadcast or otherwise varies from somewhat incorrect to complete baloney."

"People who know don't speak - people who speak don't know."

I think a 1.2 million dollar world class motorsports facility for some rich guy and his marketing team to play in made from shipping containers is going to have a bigger effect than any of us fuck ups on the front lines and in the ditches are going to.

I'm tracking to have built NINE roll cages for rally cars in a twelve month period. I attribute all of that to the trickle down effect of the HUGELY increased popularity and visibility thanks to the Fogg's investment in media and live video and real time scoring and and and...
