Didn't Bill Wood come right out say that he only wants the top competitiors and could care less about the grassroots?

not knowing the real motivation behind the comment, I do know that in the newspaper biddness, editorial writers often take controversial positions not because they believe in the position but because they want to get a conversation started, or a viewpoint expressed. (Sometimes it is solely for the attention they get. As an example, if Rush Limbaugh didn't say the absurd things he said, nobody would pay attention)

Im not sure if Nasa is wanting tv? Im sure RA would love to have a tv package. To me Lucos seems to be the best shot at US rally to hit the air waves. My local modified oval track cars ive raced for years just got a 18 race tv deal on mavtv.

Now with RA being Usac and Amsoil being there big sponsor the chance of Lucos doing a tv deal with RA is probably zero. That leaves the door open for Nasa to hit up Lucos and try to score a tv deal. If my local series can get a tv deal. I cant believe Rally cant get it done! We average 3 to 5 thousand people in the stands at any given modified event. And every driver is a no name grass roots driver like me. I have many top 5's in the series before it became Lucos.

"Want"? There's want and there's want. Sure, everyone wants TV.

Making getting TV a priority above things like improving events? Nah.

But, tell you what: If you go put together a TV package, and sponsorship to pay for it, keep 10% of that sponsorship money for yourself. Commission. grinning smiley

Have you ever run through an estimate of what your local place's budget is? What is their ticket revenue annually?

Except for the fact that he didn't want a conversation, He wanted to stand by his view of what is the correct path for rally. Bill Wood, the Rush Limbaugh of stage rally in the US...perfect!

I new you were going to come back with that go do it comment! I am by far not the guy you want to go get a big sposorship with!

Make the National teams have to run incar and a gopro for some service and stage passes, Brakim has a remote heli for cool air shots. bam you got content for cheap. Give it to Bill Woods have him edit it and give it to Lucos who owns mavtv and beg them to air your crap.

Bill Wood has a weekly half our show aired at least twice a week on mavtv he should be able to pull some strings!

His show is barley different then Anders live chat videos! These guys sit in front of lap tops and talk to each other and call it a show. R U KIDDING ME my favorite part of the show! He cant being paying much if anything for his air time.

Anders I do agree with you on the making a better rally over tv but tv would be cool to see! Not sure it will save rally. I would enjoy watching it over tractor pulls and boat racing any day!

I guess i just feel with Speed network gone. Lucos,Velocity, fox sports and these other small cable channels popping up. Getting US rally on tv is at its highest chance in years. There showing more and more repeats of WRC so it must be getting ratings. My DVR records it seems like 4 or 5 times a week.

I was really impressed with the Launch control video's. Well put together, no bullshit, flatbrimm foolishness, or throbbing lame ass music. I prefered them to ESTD honestly.
I started calling them Lunch control beacause some of the VTcar guys are bulking up a bit these days hahaha. Anyway, why not just do that style of video in a digest style? Highlights? Is it worth it? It's the media age, so I guess it is.

The launch control vids were great. I didnt really care for the rallyx stuff as much but it was still decent to watch.

Boy, I sure hope KB shows up to STPR after all of the hoopla over date changes (which, while the word is it wasn't for him and Hoonigan, there is little data to say otherwise). There would be a lot of pie on one's face in this case.

Moar press releases FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE! detailing less racing, better yet detailing the set of activities ----nearly infinite less a few----Blockstrana won't be doing flooding the media---is going to save rally.

"For IMMEDIATE Re-sleeeze"
Kenvis Blockstana will limit his intake of lattes purchased at the main railway station in Mumbai, India it was announced today in el Lay, California.
"As much as i would like to buy a latter from the Starbucks in Mumbai, India at the Main Railway Station, sponsor commitments here in El Lay means I will not be able to........"

The possibilities of announcements of what they won't be doing are endless!!!

I am a fawkin Genius!
