America is the problem, the general population is not interested in working all that hard to do anything. Put rally in a mall and have every rally car dispense hamburgers as they go by Forever 21 and Hot topic. Have Monster T-shirt venders selling shirts and "hoodies" every 100 meters. That is a sustainable rally model for America. Of course that's crazy talk, they have a food court inside which makes the Rally cars useless.

Food courts will save rally!

Shopping malls will definitely save rally!

Epic rides will save.... mountain bike racing!

http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-gear/gear-shed/cycle-life/Epic-Rides-Could-Save-Mountain-Bike-Racing.html

First paragraph:

It’s no secret that 24-hour events are on the decline. Last year, at the discipline's National Championship, held outside of Gallup, New Mexico, there were fewer national categories than ever before and, accordingly, fewer racers attending. And USA Cycling announced this week that they will discontinue sanctioning for a 24-Hour Nationals in 2015. Meanwhile after 18 years, the 24 Hours of Moab, long considered the granddaddy of them all, went dark in 2013 largely because it wasn’t garnering enough interest and revenue.

Grassroots rally. It's what I think about.

"over 1,800 racers" eye popping smiley

"We have a model that encourages everyone to participate. ... But even more importantly, our events aren’t just about the elite riders. We want to get everyone out riding"

So, they see growth in grass-roots racers. Hmm... where have I heard that before?

Paul Page produces a rally show only a fan can watch.
Dreadful "script", poor editing and no planning.
Excuseable live or same day, but not with so much time.
ACP and TP outshine the "talent" with more relevence, expression and entusiasm.

Notable past productions include:
Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest
Sumo Wrestling
Rubik’s Cube World Championship Budapest
Wrist-wrestling
The One Lap of America
Winter X Games: Snowcross, Hillcross, Modified Snow Shovel

In other TV news, a Coldwell Banker ad shows a Fiat 1500 Spider with dubious panel and trim fit and a seat with a headrest but points for having a car my English Teacher had when I was in High School.

We had the coolest English Department, besides the lady with the Fiat, we had a woman who tended bar at The Itsy Bitsy Ritzy Club (aka: Bubbles). Another woman (my teacher) who got dropped off by her husband in an Iso Griffo. She got spied coming out of the cloak room with a fellow English teacher a few times. What a great group, very continental!

I am guessing North American Road Racing Association not the North American Rally Racing Association is what Anders is referring to.
http://www.rallyracingnews.com/narra/

Which I'm guessing is maybe sanctioning Rally Utah since Denise seems to have pissed everyone off?
