Blogs at blogspot are free to use if you have a google+ which is also free. It would be best to be ran by someone who has time on their hands and can write well, get information across the line easily, and seem friendly to people since a majority of the people will be non ralliest to begin with.
Now if we really wanted to take it up over the top would be to have several people all using the same blog instead of just 1 person. That way there is more material from different places and everyone brings something different to the table. |

Yah, there is. Consistency of delivery, watchability/readability of what is sent in, the tendency to 'stray' from the message. Without leadership, direction and discretion in what is posted... it won't hold interest long, particularly for 'new folk.' Collections without some form of editing, direction or management get 'noisy' fast. Aggregation sites like Jalopnik, Huff Post, etc. have significant paid staff to manage the content that is created elsewhere. Flatovercrest.com was a very successful rally blog site that brought reasonable coverage to the events they could get bodies to. But it only survived as long as the principles had time to devote to making their pet project carry on. I was. While no customers were in the shop today, I coded up a very attractive way to show rally schedules on the NRS web site. Example: http://www.nasarallysport.com/main/stage-schedule?e=2014-Magnum-Opus-Rally Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

If you all are seriously thinking about running this sort of blog, youtube, networking what not, you need to pick a person who can run it and have them delegate people to help. I havent been here long enough to feel comfortable running something like that for you guys, but Ill be more then willing to help where I can.

Um, while that is neat, it isn't worth a d*mn if we don't get more workers out there at each event...
And, no, I don't have a solution.

That's the problem with social media, It all looks and sounds like wankers wanking, right up till there a million hits overnight. New schedules look great Anders. The numbers on the right (1,2,3,4) What would you call those sectioned off blocks of the day? Enablers, All of you. |

http://www.specialstage.com/forums/showthread.php?34242-Youtube-Alliance! Project begun in 2008, stickied on SS "Photos and Videos" forum. Although, the person who started it only ever made 35 posts and was active for a month, and the youtube group created is now defunct and not accessible. sigh. :| Grassroots rally. So the guy had an idea, started it, and failed to continue it without handing it off to another member who probably would have kept it going? What a wanker. |

I call those "sections". *grin* http://www.nasarallysport.com/rules-forms/NASA-Rally-Sport-General-Regulations-for-Rallies-Sections-1-2.pdf The definition is in 1.5.29. However, at a much more practical level, at least when it comes to the NRS events being run through this system, there's one time card per section. Section change means new time card.
