What are the rear springs rates? If they are too stiff the car will hop anyway. I remember following another RX7 on a transit one nite and we could see air under his back tires. He had just switched to Mazda Comp rear springs. The car was handling terrible. We told him what we saw, he went back to softer springs and started beating me again...

It is easy to get caught up in the adjustable 'frenzy' . On tarmac it is a viable action. On gravel where surfaces can change drastically every 200 feet not so much.

You might have someone follow you and see what exactly is going on. Maybe just one shock is failing or some such.

I found that I could tell the change in handling of the DMS adjustments mostly compression, not rebound...

I use one setting for fast open stages and another for tight twisty and slow stages, surface conditions did not play into my settings. I guess I am sensitive or something, be careful not to hurt my feelings.

I got pretty good at knowing when a wheel departed the car too, When the co-driver asked me what was up I could say with confidence that we had lost a wheel, no question about it, no reason to stop and look.

I only stopped cause the wheel I sheared off was a real Saab Min-lite and a GOOD used tire.
Soon as we found that we continued (after arguing with dave to get into the car cause I was leaving---had to put it in gear and snatch the clutch before he actually got in)
