Fuel Pump Wiring?

i'm sure it has something.

The XDi likely has something to turn the coils on/off.

So treat the Fuelpump as a "coil".



Honestly i wouldn't loose too much sleep over it....i know that Gene is a tech guy...but the chances of someone every checking this...not very likely.

depending on your idle, your oil pressure could dip just enough, and often enough to turn your pump on and off, a lot.
I've got an oil pressure warning light that comes on at ~10-15psi? and it flickers at stoplights.
the stock toyota is a switch in the mass air flapper unit, as soon as the flapper moves, it turns on the pump.

Yes I agree - so I've picked up a oil pressure switch that is rated for 7psi. I'm going to run the idle a little high (1000 -1200) so we'll see what happens. I'll have an override which I'll probably use for any time I'm not on stage.

just a little more info. I just put in a Facet in my 02 and I am using a VW Fuel pump relay that I ordered from AutohausAZ. Here is a link - look at the 6th post down for the info. Very simple.
