I use OEM Nissan rims 6 x 15. I've been collecting and using them for years, I have around 40... some have been used on my stock car for 4 or 5 seasons, now are being used on the rally car. I think I've bent 4 in 3 seasons of rallying, and punched a hole right through one! They fit over my brakes and best of all they are cheap... I pay about $25 each.

I've killed about six wheels....three of which were on-stage failures, the other three were just bent. I will be using some compomotives once i am done with 14" tires I have left.

I think life, the universe, and everything is getting back to a point where rally makes sense.

Could be a bit better, but are very close to completion with the help of my crew as well as Robert Gobright, who has done an absolute ton of work for us, and John Vanlandingham. The car was supposed to be running today but our ignition setup is fairly unique and we had a couple compounding issues that didn't allow that to happen so we'll have to wait until wednsday or so next week to run and tune the car.

I have testing scheduled for the next three weekends, so we should be good for Idaho. We keep an active blog on the site for the build, check it out!

Damn Tom. That looks badass! I see you got the fuel pump/filler situation sorted out with that sheet metal box. Post up a dyno run going through the gears if you can.

I'll get a bunch more up in a week or two when we seal everything up.

Nice looking build, Tom. Really like your rear suspension.

re:wheels: Like JV said, there are msport wheels and there are msport wheels. When factoring in longevity, cost, strength, customer service, and wasted entry fees, Speedlines have been the best value for me. And yes, I pay for them.

What engine management? Looks like an Aeromotive FPR, and you're using crank triggers and you got rid of the Bosch toilet seat. Big lobey shafts? Timed individually, or chained together? Can't wait to see you and Wimpeys beat on each other at IR.

Chris, what VW rims are you using? How different is the offset/size?

Good run this weekend!

How were the tires?

Got some Corrado wheels, and "drivers editions"

Size is 15x6.5 offset et43. Cleared the 50mm struts with no spacers. I generally have to run 8mm spacer in the front, and 16mm in the rear.

Tires were great.

Good run...but i'm down a transmission and rear diff sad smiley

I've bent lots of those wheels. They look business, tho.
