Re: Quick dash question

One of the more interesting dashes I have seen recently was in Joseph Burke's Integra Type R.

He was using one of the universal heaters like the mojave that he mounted to the floor. And he had a Motec or AIM diplay mounted directly to the steering column that provided all the engine information. All the switch were mounted to the floor of the car between the driver and co-driver. So the "dash" was made out of the material that Anders uses for control signs. It looks like corrugated cardboard but it is made out of plastic. this was zip tied to the dash bar and angled to deflect the air coming out the heater onto the windshield. Low budget material could not have weighed more than a pound or two and he said there were no issues with glare. seemed like a great setup.

That said I run the stock dash in my focus mainly because I refuse to give up the stock defroster. I had a rally car where the defroster did not work very well and it made life miserable when it rained.
