I have a 94 turbo miata. It's not running right anymore (doesn't get tlc when we've got two kids), but when it was it was certainly well over 200whp (it doesn't all turn into smoke btw). Flyin miata 2 setup. Smallish IC, stock radiator. Did some time trial stuff with it years ago. It never overheated or got even warmer than normal. I never really track tested it though. Hotter climate, more time at WOT it may very well have been a real problem.
