Brian, it has been such a ridiculous, hysterical, and FALSE claims from Rally America and it's goose stepping supporters about this fuel cell covering completely in contradiction of what you see all across the rest of the whole world that all discussion has become absurd.
FIA has no changed the wording for over 25 years, BUT RA decides that means blah blah blah on supposed safety grounds because in American nobody will argue against "SAFETY" (because of the insecure and law-suit happy nature of the USA) while we know the rest of the civilised world got new rules for on board fire systems what? Back in 91???

Yet the contention from Rally America and it's chauvanistes is there is a severe FIRE DANGER with the use of cells marked FIA FT3 APPROVED when installed exactlu as the whole world installs them.

So the situation is ridiculous and my friend Tom has just gone thru a bunch of bullshit to make his cell, CLEARLY MARKED "FIA FT-3 APPROVED", modified to be Rally America approved. (I helped in the design, Robert Rally Mech did the fabrication)

It was very frustrating.

SO when Tom's brother Don actually gets somewhere and sees with his own eyes that Rally America and particularly their minions have been talking right out their large Midwestern asses, I have to MOCK say "Oh you can't be right, OUR Experts have said that there's an enormous fire danger and anybody just LOOKING at the (normal FIA APPROVED) installation without the absurd RA modifications , would probably spontaneously ignite from looking."

That is illustrating a problem by making it absurd. Parody.

Now then:

Who is the somebody that "is dying"?

Right, nobody.

Their stupidity is offensive (remembering that "offensive" is always dependant on a point of view. Littel timmy says "My mommy said she doesn't like you" because I am "offensive". I say "Who cares? I never ever even drive NEAR there so it's unimportant" But for some reason it has to get written. WHATEVER!)

This must be it. Clearly girls are dumber then guys. Normal English rules would state that because your comma is separating the two clauses "Timm, it is troubling how stupid you appear sometimes" and "you sure you're not a girl?" you joining THOSE. Not "You sure you're not a girl, because you sound like a W whiney bitch from Bellevue"

Aawww come on John. Tim was just offering HIS oppinion, like you are offering yours now. He ended the sentence with "or may I'm just old fashioned". That - to me - is another way of saying: "that's my oppionion, hope you respect it the way I respect your oppionion".

While I do get the whole "I don't wanna be PC"-thing, I still think Tim should have the exact same right to offer his oppionion as you have, without being called stupid.
It's not stupid man, it's just an oppinion. Isn't America supposed to be land of the free? To me there's not much freedom (and respect which I feel is the basis for all to be free) in meeting a humble "that's my oppinion" with: "You're stupid".

If you feel that Tim's oppinion was too PC, then just say so - no need to call him stupid. At least as long as he's polite, you could be too.

Clearly my mention of them burning the car down was a joke about how insane our current rules are about fuel cells in a two box car.

John took that hook and ran for a bit, did anyone expect anything different? Both of you need to take a chill pill...and stop feeding off of one another...



I'll post up the actual FIA Legal images in a couple weeks (the above photo is not a rally legal fuel cell,FYI), plus images of what Robert bent up for our cell to make it "RA legal" which is apparently entirely different than FIA Legal.

I babysat Robert yesterday so he wouldn't be stupid and like work.
Decided he can hold a clipboard and a map so we may zoom and start scounting ROADS.....

Now with the big bottle of Rush Limbaughs favorite candy he's gobbling don't know if he'll remember anything....
