All appologies, sir! I misread what you were saying...

I read what you wrote as: I should have "wrapped" more of the tubing together. I thought you meant I should have done this:

To clarify, I DO NOT think that the doorbars, the way they are in my pictures are safe - More gussets for sure!

Honestly you'll be lucky to get a logbook for that cage, you certainly wouldn't get one from me.

The front cage is not compliant with FIA 253. The windshield bar is supposed to be "near transversal" which means straight. The joints for the front bar and laterals needs to be at roof level, yours are not. Because the front bar is built improperly the A pillar support bar is too far down the front leg, rendering it ineffective. Also there are dimensions for the lateral to main hoop reinforcement bar and I suspect that isn't correct either.

Article 253 is pretty straight forward in its design limitations, copying elements from homolgated designs and originality aren't always the correct things to do. In a hard flip I suspect that forward section may end up folding in on you.

I just had a competitor have to remove the front windshield structure and rebuild it for nearly the same reasons.
