The Volvo's getting closer

Here are some new piccies of the car. As you can see the engine is in along with the sweet intake from Chadil. At this point we can pretty much put all of the fluids in the car if we wanted. Most of The fabrication should be finished up this month and November will be focused on the electrical system.

Thanks. Not sure about LSPR yet, it depends on what kind of job commitments I have. We should be at Sno*Drift if everything stays on schedule.

Will this ever make it out to a Detroit rx? I promise to stand a respectable distance away while drooling if you bring it.

It will definitely be out to the rx's once it's done, hopefully before Sno*Drift. I think we'll also be looking at some ice racing and Son of Sno*Drift.

More pictures have been added here:

It's finally beginning to look like a rally car. Front brakes are on and the driveshaft, skid plates, oil cooler, and a slew of other small stuff (including a sweet front tow hook) are done. Take a look and check them out!

Love the tow hooks! My old boss used to use connecting rods as steering column supports.

Put those fuel pumps BELOW tank fuel level if you don't want problems. Volvo R-sport did the same mistake! The pump always PUSHES better than SUCKS.
Don't forget BIG air filters. F1 have them smiling smiley
Otherwise, nice work. Good luck!

Pretty. Obviously a well prepped car. I don't foresee any problems at tech. winking smiley

Thanks guys. I've been busy preparing for Sno*Drift and trying to stay in school, which is why there hasn't been many updates. The car was running good this weekend until we blew the heater core. That kind of threw a wrench into our plans for getting a lot of miles on the car before the event, but we should be able to get a decent amount in in the next couple days.

I keep forgetting to take pictures of the car, but I should have some up by the time we leave. If not, I'm sure there will be a few taken at the rally.

Your car is freakin' RAD.

Can't wait to hear the blow-by-blow from Sno*Drift.
