I vote for the Ronal PedoBear wheels...

They're definitely ScoobyDootastic.

Black wheels are good for snow tires and late night industrial park blizzard sessions.
They disappear on rally cars and make the car photo poorly. Red wheels would be sick on your car Jon.
There is going to be alot of dealing back and forth to get to what I'm doing. Keep in mind that the exhaust manifold, ECU, fuel cell, and paint are all already here. Oh yeah, so is enough steel to do the Starlet, the welder, bender, full tank of gas, and Jason's seen the amount of space I have to work with. The car looks kind of lonely all by itself in 5000 sq ft. of garage space. smiling smiley

but black never stays black, white never stays white...but red would definitely be sick.

pic is big, so here's the link:

my old ebay cheapo rallyX rims were bronze (not gold....fawking bronze) and they looked pretty good.

my old 1980 911SC had the original Porsche 5 spoke rims that were outlined black, but the spokes and rim edges were steel (similar to the Saab on JVL's other thread)...they were fawking legit.

either way, they were used, they were cheap (for Team Dynamics rims at least) and they were black, so I bought them....who gives a shit? At least I didn't spray paint them STI pink!! lol (and I hope no one here thinks I actually spend time/money to powder coat my rims black?....sheesh!)

Engine and transmission came out yesterday. As was expected, every plastic connector broke as I was unplugging everything, except one injector plug. Might have to just spend the cash for a new engine harness.
So after all was out I jacked the car back up from the crossmember in the front. As I lowered it onto the jack stands the cross support on the front (like above the radiator and what the hood pins are on) noticeable flexed as the stands took over the weight and the crossmember was unloaded. Should have it down to shell by end of day Saturday.

Grant, I have three boxes of "hacked up bits of wiring loom." Take pictures of broken stuff and I can see if I have it. Little bits can be had in exchange for a PBR at a later date.

Not sure if I have a complete engine harness I can sell. You could just Megasquirt the thing and cut the cord to the stock harness!

Most if the engine harness connectors are available new, or used at the u-pull-it. Good luck on the re-build. I am really glad i wired mine from scratch in the beginning.

Got any pictures of your skid plate mounts? Starting on mine this weekend.

I was thinking of just splurging and buying that premade one from that one company. Have a good source for the connectors? Literally every one but one injector is broken. There are none in our yards and you still end up with 25 year old plastic, which I don't like the thought of when I'm spending thousands.

We have a motorcraft picture book at work, lists all the connectors, starting with 1 pin connectors, all the way up to 7 or 9 pin connectors. there are hundreds of them, and they are all available. Find your local motorcraft outlet, and go look in the book, or I will look them up for you if you tell me which ones you want.

I bought a selection of weatherpack connectors for my harness splits, but decided to not split the harness. really see no need to.

My guess on engine harness:
4 injector plugs
ECT
TFI
TPS
IAC
BARO

eliminate the connector at the injector harness, and I think that does it. Maybe use a weatherpack for the BATT and ignition supply so you can split the engine from the chassis.

You can also cet some trick MIL spec cannon connectors for the engine harness, but once again, I don't plan on pulling the engine often, and there is really only 5 or 6 connections to remove to pull it.

Tried my best to destroy a set of JVAB suspenders. Big jumps, hard rock hits, etc. This is the result, and a few other pics of the shop/car/
