At least according to wikipedia the 3liter duratec in the fusion, taurus, 500?, and mazdas is the one with the rockers that makes only 200hp.

The nice one is from the jaguar s-types and lincoln ls's. They had the cams right on the lifter buckets, 240hp, and come with a rwd transmission. But, at least, the higher hp version has throttle by wire, vvt, and the more recent ones have variable intake runners. Which will make it a little bit harder to stuff in to my volvo and make it work, but I'll deal when the time comes. Now where was that "Life FastForward" button so I can get started on this. The wife poo-poo'd the thought of me picking up a wrecked jaguar right now. Maybe 2 dead cars in the driveway is enough?

You thought right. Who mentioned the 3.0? That thing was a POS.

Every car I've driven with that engine was slow, that's why. That's about all I know.

I think it was marginally competitive in its day, but the latest generation of Ford V6 is impressively powerful and much lighter.

Wait, you are going to put a Jag motor in your volvo? Even if it really is a ford motor, that's funny.

The Jag 10.5" diff is a popular swap into Ford Sierra's in the UK.
