If I decide to build an 'x' between the strut towers I will tie them into it. That's why they are still long. I cut the rest.

Tibor is super nice, gets work done quick, and at very reasonable pricing.

He's not kidding. You want a drill that geos SLOW...

I bought a $50 Mastercrap 1/2". I just tap, tap, tap the trigger. The motor hates me but, I got 10 bobbins done and the bit is just as sharp as when I started.

I used "Gunk" penetrating oil for lubricant - I use it for all drilling - it worked perfectly. Just don't let it sit overnight after you drill out the rear subframe nuts... Fuck! So many layers of steel there and it seeped in making welding a hell of a chore.

It's firly easy to tie the rear suspension into the cage.

those bobbins are basically jus like a captured nut, only eight thousand percent better, correct?

Tied into the structure better, and with full thread engagement, so the bolt that goes in doesn't rust at the top and snap off right when you need to take it out?

How much do the bobbins cost?
Seems like it'd be just as easy and possibly cheaper to buy steel tubing with the right ID to tap to whatever size bolt, much like Lurch did for his rear trailing arms on the 3.
