The ones I made a 100 or so were done so we'd metric, and a large register, and good full engagement threads.
Some I decided to make the bolt size without threads so for example the sump guard things that bolt thru the box section one can have the ones without threads as register 9nice flat surface and then pass the bolt all the way thru the inner chassi rail and thread in on the inboard wall, noe the stresses carried up thru the sump guard into the side plate will be carried by the whole chassi rail rather than just the weld nut and bolt in the outer skin.

Way stronger at the cost of a longer bolt and welding one more weld nut in.

Claro?

The key to these ones is the large flat head. It gives you something with lots of surface area to weld to the shell and something to clamp your parts to.

These were a lot less than $20/piece when I got them. They are machined with thread starters and with the tools supplied... well, even I could do it without worrying.

These were made for the same threa pitch and diameter as the OEM subaru bolts. Three different sizes for the set of 24. I'm sure Tibor can do whatever though...
